Ask The Expert is our fantastic free online service which is continuation of what we do in store every day. It gives you the opportunity to ask our team of experts any question you like, and gives our team of experts an opportunity to show off how clever they are!

Our experts are:

Head Goldsmith – Geoff Day.

Geoff has over 24 years experience in all aspects of jewellery manufacture and repair. He is a skilled designer, stone setter and metal smith. He has particular skill working with platinum which many goldsmiths don’t have. Geoff has a love of traditional jewellery techniques, and has a passion for Lalique, Cartier and Faberge jewellery, and anything that is well made and beautiful.

Valuer – Christopher Dagley

Chris, our Director, has a wealth of knowledge about jewellery and watches, having started the business 30 years ago with his father George. As is necessary for a valuer Chris knows about all sides of the jewellery business, he is also a skilled watchmaker. Chris’ favourite pieces are vintage and prestige watches, and his wife’s favourite items are big diamonds!

Watch Maker – Euros Hogsden

Euros has been with us for over 6 years and has a wealth of knowledge and experience on all things relating to clocks and watches. If you have any questions or queries on watch or clock services, repairs or general maintenance then Euros is your man!
